Detailed Itinerary

Day Tour: Moshi – Machame Gate – Machame Camp – Moshi
• Morning: After breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, you’ll be driven to Machame Gate (1,800m), the starting point of the route. Meet your mountain guide and complete park formalities before beginning your hike.
• Late Morning to Midday: Trek through dense rainforest filled with birdsong and fresh mountain air. You will ascend gradually for about 3–4 hours, reaching approximately 2,800m — near the Machame Camp area. Enjoy your packed lunch and take in the breathtaking scenery.
• Afternoon: After a short rest, begin your descent back through the same lush forest to Machame Gate (2–3 hours). Your driver will then transfer you back to Moshi, arriving in the early evening.
Total hiking time: 6–7 hours (round trip)
Elevation gain: About 1,000 meters
