This 5-day safari covers Tanzania’s most iconic national parks: Tarangire, home to giant baobab trees and massive elephant herds, the world-famous Serengeti, with its endless plains and big cats, and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” With extra time in Serengeti,
this itinerary allows for deeper exploration of wildlife and landscapes.
• Starting Point: Arusha or Moshi (hotel/airport pickup)
• Ending Point: Arusha or Moshi (hotel/airport drop-off)
• Accommodation Options: Basic Camping, Midrange Lodges/Tented Camps, or Luxury Lodges/Tented Camps (choose based on preference)
Day 1 – Arusha / Moshi to Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi at 8:00 AM.
Drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch.
Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, leopards, and countless bird species.
Dinner and overnight at lodge/camp near Tarangire.
Day 2 – Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park.
Afternoon game drive en route to your camp/lodge.
Dinner and overnight inside or near Serengeti.
Day 3 – Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives across the Serengeti plains.
Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and more.
Picnic lunch in the bush.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti lodge/camp.
Day 4 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning game drive in Serengeti (optional).
After breakfast, continue game drives while heading towards Ngorongoro.
Arrive at the crater rim in the evening for overnight stay at a camp/lodge overlooking the crater.
Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha / Moshi
Early breakfast, then descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a 5-hour game drive.
Spot black rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo, hyenas, and more.
Picnic lunch at Hippo Pool.
Ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha/Moshi for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
• Camping Safari – Public campsites with basic facilities (shared bathrooms, tents, mattresses).
• Midrange Safari – Comfortable lodges/tented camps with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, and great service.
• Luxury Safari – Premium lodges/tented camps with spacious suites, fine dining, and exclusive locations inside or near the parks.
