4 Day Mt Meru Climbing

Mt meru 4 day route

Mount Meru – 4 Days Overview

Mount Meru (4,566m) is Tanzania’s second-highest peak and a striking volcanic mountain located inside Arusha National Park. This 4-day trek is the most recommended itinerary, allowing climbers more time for acclimatization and rest before the summit push. The trail passes through lush rainforest teeming with wildlife, open heath and moorland, and dramatic volcanic landscapes along the crater rim.
With hut accommodations (Miriakamba Hut and Saddle Hut) and an armed ranger accompanying the group for safety, the trek is both comfortable and adventurous. Climbers are rewarded with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro, the Meru Crater, and the vast plains of Arusha.
